Title page bears the original price of "Fifty-Cents", verso of cover page lists the various regional (provincial) papers in circulation accompanied with their respective addresses and contact details, rear cover prints a quote from Canadian democratic socialist politician, and leader of the national party (from 1942 to 1960), M.J. Coldwell (1888-1974). Excepting some faint foxing to the rear cover, the extremities remain uniformly and remarkably well-preserved; near fine. An exceptionally rare offering of the first national handbook as issued by the CCF National Office. The booklet offers advice on the practical elements of political organization such as the formation and structure of local CCF constituencies, policy committees, fundraising, recruitment, advice campaign finance and election laws as well as offering a basic overview of the principles and aims of the CCF, et al. Rare in commerce. Corresponds to OCLC #70307289. At time of cataloguing not found in Peel. See Weinrich 3311. This is the first time a CCF Handbook has been published nationally.
