This first edition is near twice it's height in length {9 1/4 in height, 12 1/4 in width}. Bound in a deep red with gilt embossed lettering and framing on spine and front cover. There is very little corner bumping or edge wear. Hinges and gutters are solid, no shadowing. Owner's name inked small upper edge of the front paste-down, otherwise unmarked and solid in binding. Well illustrated with maps, drawings, numerous black and white phototgraphs. Unclipped DJ has rubbing, wear and small tears. Flap hinges are rubbed, but solid. Due to the width and weight of this book, it will require additional shipping outside the United States. Size: 8vo - over 7�" - 9�" tall.
