About this Item
Small 8vo. Pp. 256. Bound in half dark blue morocco, with gilt lettering and gilt rules on spine, over light blue cloth. A lovely copy. Beginning with the wreck of the Trial in 1622, the first recorded ship destroyed on the Australian coast, a chronicle of Australian shipwrecks, told with panache. This copy was owned by noted collector of Australiana Bernard Gore Brett, with his bookplate on the front pastedown, and, presumably, especially bound for him. Seller Inventory # 1217
