This text represents one of the highly desirable unofficial editions printed concurrently with the official government release. Unlike the standard official edition, Garnery's version includes a vital secondary section-Motifs du Livre Ier-compiled by State Councillors Jean-Baptiste Treilhard, Pierre-Francois Real, and Louis-Joseph Faure, alongside a comprehensive analytical index. This specific copy is a remarkable working artifact of early 19th-century French jurisprudence. An early legal practitioner heavily interleaved and annotated the text, with the latest entry dated 1817.
