About this Item
Black cloth with gilt lettering and facsimilie author signature to front board. Uneven sunning to edges of boards. Text is clean and bright, no marks, lightly and evenly tanned. Clipped DJ shows rubbing to all edges, neat tape repairs to reverse of jacket. "This book makes available early poems that have never been published in America, as well as the complete "Façade" (now thiry-four poems), the complete "Sleeping Beauty," and the majestic, "Madness of Saul," a long fragment. This collection brings together the volumes of poetry: Green Song, The Song of the Cold, The canticle of the Rose, and Gardeners and Astronomers, volumes that established Edith Sitwell as one of the world's most important poets." (from the jacket). Seller Inventory # F40513
