First American edition, published the same year as the Faber & Faber edition. 5.5" x 8.75" hardcover in black cloth boards with gilt titling to spine. Paper dustjacket, 142pp. From the collection of a tobacco smoker, with attendant mild tanning to DJ spine and a very discreet aroma of smoke inside book. DJ with a spot of sticker residue to front and mild-moderate rubbing. Modest closed tear to front upper joint. Shallow chip to DJ rear upper edge. Boards fresh with sharp corners and bright gilt.
