DJ in very good condition with a little shelf wear to top of spine with small tear, a little rubbing to front cover and edges. Black cloth binding with gilt titles to spine in very good+ condition with very minimal shelf wear to top of spine. Inside in near fine condition. a very good copy of this beautifully produced book that showcases the Aurora Collection, one of the world's largest collections of natural coloured diamonds ever to be shown in public. Each of the 260 diamonds were photographed with precise colour calibration, and the book's printing has also been precisely colour matched and calibrated, so that the diamonds can be seen reproduced as realistically as possible. This is a very heavy book and may cost extra postage overseas.

In 1979 he accepted a position with the GIA Research Department, and since then he has devoted his career to the study of colored diamonds. In 1985 he became president of Colored Diamond Laboratory Services (CDLS), and currently operates a consulting service to the diamond industry.
He has lectured extensively on the subject of colour in diamonds, was one of sixty featured speakers at the 1981 International Gemological Symposium, has published numerous technical papers, and authored a quarterly column on coloured diamonds for New York Diamonds magazine. Mr. Hofer is an accomplished diamond cutter and a graduate of the American Institute of Diamond Cutting (AIDC).
