A collection of one hundred and fifty select views in England, Scotland and Ireland drawn by Paul Sandby (1731-1809). Printed for John Boydell, engravers in Cheapside London. Published in 1781. 1st Edition. Three very nice uniformly bound volumes in full calf leather (volume three with a little repair to hinge). Gilt titles and volume numbers to spines in six compartments with raised bands. Gilt. Good condition. One hundred and fifty engravings each with descriptive text. One loose page of text. Some minor age spotting and browning to some pages. Some light creasing to titles pages with owners name written in ink. A rare very nice complete set. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" Landscape.

Rostron & Edwards was established in 1997 as a Partnership, specialising in early original issues of Country Life Magazine (1897-1940) and fine antique prints and books on architecture and English country houses, with a clientele including owners of many of the finest historic and listed buildings in the world. Rostron & Edwards also supplying English Heritage, The National Trust, museums and many private collections. Trevor Rostron founded the business over 30 years ago. Alison Edwards became a partner in 1997 and continues to specialise in fine and rare books on architecture and important works of art on paper.
