Translated with a preface and notes by David Magarshack, a British translator and biographer of Russian authors. Pasternak: A Pictorial Biography, 1959. First UK edition. A biography of Boris Pasternak, illustrated with one hundred and twenty-four black-and-white images. Written bt Gerd Ruge, a German journalist, author and filmmaker. Seven Poems, 1972. Second edition. A collection of verses from Boris Pasternak, translated by George Louis Kline, a philosopher, translator and prominent American specialist in Russian and Soviet philosophy. The Poetic World of Boris Pasternak, 1974. First US edition. A detailed study of the dramatic political struggles of Boris Pasternak and continued success of his art. Written by Olga Raevsky-Hughes, an American professor of Slavic language and literature. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities and light fading. Each volume is bound with the original dust wrapper other than Seven Poems. Dust wrappers remain unclipped other than A Pictorial Biography which has been price-clipped. The wrappers are smart with light wear and the odd small closed tear to the extremities. Sunning to the spines with the odd small mark and creases to the front fly leaf of A Pictorial Biography. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed.…
