'The Oysters of Locmariaquer' by Eleanor Clark (1965) - A vivid account of the cultivation of Belon oysters and an excursion into the myths, legends, and rich, vibrant history of Brittany. 'The Oyster Collection' by Ann Granat (1985) 'Consider the Oyster' by M F K Fisher (1988) - A delightful book of essays that deals in the history, preparation and eating ofoysters. 'Oysters with Love' by John Rydon (1968) 'The English, the French and the Oyster' by Robert Neild (1995) - Observes how the British neglected the oyster to the point of near extinction and how the French conserved them. 'The Compleat Clammer' by Christopher R. Reaske (1986) Second printing. Describes the tools and techniques used to gather clams, oysters, mussels and scallops. 'Oysters: A Connoisseur"s Guide and Cookbook' by Lonnie Williams and Karen Warner (1990) 'Oysters: A Culinary Celebration' by Joan Reardon and Ruth Ebling (1984) In the original cloth bindings except for 'Consider the Oyster' (paperback) and 'The Oyster Collection' (laminated boards). Cloth bound volumes are complete with the original dust wrappers, unclipped except for 'Passion for Oysters'. Externally, excellent, with only minor shelf wear. Dust wrappers to 'Oysters with Love' and 'Oysters of Locmariaquer' are edge worn and slightly scuffed. 'A Culinary Celebration' has a couple 2" closed tears to the rear. Wrappers to remainder of set are excellent, with only minor edge wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean through the set. With offsetting to the front free endpaper of 'Oysters of Locmariaquer' and 'Oysters with Love'. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper of 'Oysters and Champagne'. Near Fine.
