The uncommon first edition of this pamphlet that was widely circulated by the John Birch Society during the 1960s. Written by an African American ex-Communist-turned-conservative on the "red plot to use Negroes" to foment Communist revolution in the U.S. Includes three appendices on the infiltration of Howard University by Communists. The Alliance published two similarly themed works at the same time: Red Intrigue and Race Turmoil and The Leftist Background of Ralph Bunche. Johnson was critical of both the NAACP and other radical blacks and was one of the few anti-Communist blacks affiliated with the radical right during this era. He died in a car accident a year after this pamphlet was published. Stapled wrappers (8 ½" x 5 ½"), 78 pp., full page photograph of the author, photostat articles reprinted throughout. Preface by Alliance founder Archibald Roosevelt. Large stamp of Four Freedoms Book Store (Wichita, KS) to the front cover, glue stain over the title page, otherwise a very good copy.
