About this Item

The first series, 1835-1843. Very good condition. Beautifully decorated with bright heavy gilt decorations and titles which are unfaded on blindstamped green cloth boards. Outer leaves a little foxed, spine shows a little edgewear, but overall a very good copy. No date of publication on the title page, but the advertisements at the back, Chatto and Windus's List of Books have the date March 1878.
