1st ed., octavo, pp.ix, 144, b&w fronts portrait, two other plates and two folding maps (one in colour), 'folding instruction' stamps on back of each map, small blind-stamps (but not library copy) to few pages and lower spine, rebound in half cloth, marbled boards by Macniven & Cameron Binders (Scotland) with their bookbinder's stamp ffep. A generally clean copy in very good condion with both maps (rare) in near fine condtion. Rare. Rare book relating to Western Australia intended to attract immigrants to Western Australia, on the heels of the Murchison W.A. Gold Rush. Mention (p.97) of the then Premier, John Forrest, investing 20,000 GBP in Hay Street (Perth) retail property for the Earl of Carnarvon.
