Minor edge and corner wear; lightly scuffed and scratched; spine is gently creased; some light shelf wear; overall a very crisp and clean used copy! Black and white pictorial wrapper with black lettering. Unpaginated, wonderfully illustrated with black and white photographs! "It has been eight years since that fall day I traveled my first two-lane blacktop down a section line in east central Illinois, through the tunnels of corn that brought to my mind the subways of the city. Born and raised in Chicago, I had no idea that corn grew so high, no understanding of life on the prairie. I have since discovered how quiet 'quiet' can be in the evening, watching the sun go down over miles of farmland." ------- from the Preface.
