12mo. First edition. xxii, 404, [4] pp. Complete with thirteen folding engraved maps (Russell del.et Sculpt.) with outline hand-colouring. In contemporary dark blue straight-grained morocco, marbled end-papers, aeg. A small world geography, containing a folding map of the world as frontispiece & a number of other folding maps. Pages 64 - 112 contain a description of Africa, mainly northern parts. A couple of pages deal with Caffraria, including the Hottentots & Monomotapa. No Africa map was included, but there is a nice small map of India. In bright condition throughout, a near-fine copy in a contemporary binding.
