Among many others, there are chapters on breeding and preserving cattle, the management of the orchard, the brewhouse and the dairy. The fine full-page and folding engravings, some handcoloured, show farming instruments, buildings, and plants. The whole work forms a compendium to rural pursuits during the eighteenth century. .
