The Complete Alice & The Hunting of The Snark

1986 336pp. Jonathan Cape, London The first Steadman edition of Carroll's defining works of literary nonsense. The first edition thus, first impression with complete number line. In the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper. The iconic artwork of illustrator Ralph Steadman combined here with Carroll's iconic surreal children's novels, 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland', 'Through The Looking Glass' and 'The Hunting of The Snark'. Profusely illustrated throughout. A lovely copy of this reinvention of the classic story. In the original cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally in lovely condition. Gift inscription to front free endpaper. Dust wrapper is very smart with bumping, creasing to the extremities and the front of the wrap, resulting in slight lifting to the silver. The odd mark to the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Grading: NEAR FINE in a VERY GOOD dust wrapper.
