The Complete Stories: Volume One (1)

The complete short fiction of Morley Callaghan appears as he comes into full recognition as one of the singular storytellers of our time. In four volumes, several stories are collected for the first time, two of which—“An Autumn Penitent” and “In His Own Country”—have been out of print for decades.

Morley Callaghan lived in Paris during the golden years of Hemingway and Fitzgerald, but he spent most of his life in Toronto producing 15 novels, a memoir, and numerous short stories. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature and received Canada's Governor General’s Award for Fiction. He died in 1990.
