Nagisa Kataura tiene veintis�is a�os y oculta un secreto: de puertas afuera parece una trabajadora a tiempo parcial m�s, pero bajo esa m�scara se esconde una aut�ntica cosplayer. Su mayor pasi�n es confeccionar trajes imposibles y transformarse en sus personajes de anime o manga favoritos; de hecho, el esmero y la creatividad que vuelca en todos sus disfraces le han cosechado una gran reputaci�n entre los cosplayers del gremio. Sin embargo, para el resto de la gente lo de caracterizarse es un mero pasatiempo para raritos. Cuando las exigencias de sus dos mundos, tan distintos el uno del otro, empiezan a presionarla, se encuentra en un callej�n sin salida: �Qu� es m�s importante? �Perseguir los sue�os o amoldarse a un estilo de vida convencional?

En 2021 Yui Sakuma alcanz� el segundo puesto en los premios Tetsuya Chiba con Complex age, cuando tan solo era un proyecto one-shot. Finalmente, en 2014, la revista Morning, de la editorial Kodansha, decidi� serializarlo en un total de seis vol�menes. Pese a tratarse de su obra m�s conocida, ya que narra el estigma del cosplay en una sociedad que rechaza la cultura otaku, la autora ha seguido dibujando mangas de tem�tica distinta y ecl�ctica. En 2016, public�, tambi�n en Morning, un seinen de acci�n y fantas�a titulado Thunderbolt Fantasy y, en 2018, se serializ� en la revista Comic Days su primer manga er�tico: Warui Onnanoko.
