First Edition. Original crimson cloth. From the library of Chemistry Professor Herbert M. Clark, who worked on the Manhattan Project, with his signature in ink. Corner bump, Near Fine, in Very Good Minus Dust Jacket with edge tears and chips. One of the three authors, Glenn T. Seaborg, earned a share in the 1951 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for investigation of transuranium elements. His work in this area led to his development of the actinide concept and the arrangement of the actinide series in the periodic table of the elements.
