THE WORLD'S FIRST PERIODICAL ON ELECTRONIC COMPUTING AND ALSO THE FIRST COMPUTER JOURNAL ISSUED BY A COMMERCIAL PUBLISHERS. Original paper wraps with table of contents on front covers. Berkeley, who entered the computer field in 1938 as an actuary using punched card machines for Prudential Insurance, established the Association for Computing Machinery in 1947 and later went into business as Edmund C. Berkeley and Associates. In 1951 he started the first ever computer magazine, Computers and Automation. Small stain on top edge corner affecting 2 pages. Same spot as owner name on front. 8½" - 11".
