About the Author

"Mariko Mori was born in 1967 in Tokyo and currently lives in New York. She studied fashion design in Japan, and worked as a fashion model during the late 80s, later attending art schools in London and New York. Solo exhibitions of her work have been shown at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Prada Foundation in Milan, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and elsewhere. A retrospective of her work was mounted at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo last year."
