Freidrick Hayek was a Nobel Prize-winning economist and political theorist. In this book he argues for the importance of personal freedom in the development of western civilisation and how these values should continue to guide the pursuit of a free market-oriented society. This copy has an ownership inscription in pen on the front free endpaper: Ernest Thorp, London 1963 . There is some minor spotting to the halftitle and some of the early parts of the introduction but the contents are otherwise clean and bright. The dustwrapper is fairly spotted but intact, with only a minor tear at the top of the front cover. The words Political Philosophy have been written on the front flap.
