His autobiography is an exciting tale, starting with his Austrian youth as a prodigy and continuing with his studies in Jerusalem and at Juilliard. His story, modestly told, is effectively integrated with significant observations on aesthetics and warm and often humorous anecdotes about William Steinberg, Martha Graham, Sergius Kagen, and other artists with whom he was associated.
