Von Neumann discovered continuous geometry in 1935 during the course of his research on rings of operators in Hilbert spaces. The present works collects many (though not all, see Halperin's foreword) of von Neumann's results in this area. A very attractive copy of this posthumous work based on lectures given by von Neumann in 1936 and 1937. A very near Fine book in a Near Fine price-clipped dust jacket with a few hints of wear to the extremities.
