Bound in textured, faux leather cloth with pictorial title emblem embossed in relief to cover; a double boiler in gilt above author titling, also in a scrolled gilt panel. Gilt title details to spine dulled but legible. Soundly bound copy has some moderate toning to page stock. Several prior owner, names/gift inscriptions penned neatly to front endpages. A lengthy Date cake recipe penned in manuscript to a rear blank leaf. Mild scattered kitchen soiling to pages. Solid and still attractive; a very uncommon early 20th century cook book.
