Deceptively detailed booklet providing the official context of the immediate post-war occupation of Germany, in which 30 Corps was awarded a prominent role. As a unit 30 Corps requires no introduction here. Led by Horrocks for most of its life, it rapidly became one of the most renowned fighting units of the British Army in WWII: 'in three years' hard fighting in eight countries neither the Corps nor any of the formations under its command have been defeated in battle or forced to yield any captured objective'.
