Item description from seller

First edition, first impression of the second Cadfael mystery. Near Fine: tight and square in sharp green boards, with just a little rubbing to the spine tips; a handful of sporadic spots to the edge of the page block some of which penetrate to affect a few pages; else crisp and clean. The unclipped dustwrapper (£4.50 stated) is Fine: bright, crisp and with no fading to the red colouring; a couple of tiny wrinkles to the head of the spine; presents beautifully in a removable, archival-quality Brodart protective cover. An attractive copy. All orders are sent carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and sturdy cardboard.
