Black and white frontispiece with facsimiles of two letters from Marcel Proust to Mademoiselle Nordlinger, cousin of the composer Reynaldo Hahn. 464 pages. Spine, bottom corner of fore edge of front cover, and fore edge of back cover lightly creased. Superficial area of loss approximately 5 mm by 5 mm to top corner of fore edge of front cover. 1 cm closed tear to head of spine. Top and inside edges of back cover lightly tanned. Overall, the book is in a good to very good condition. Very scarce first edition.
