The first edition of this very scarce work, with no records of this work being held institutionally.A charming work for children, exploring life at a farm, and the different farmyard animals there, including Billy the goat, Molly the cow, Dobbin the horse, and Neddy the donkey. This work shows the responsibilities of each animal, and what they do at the farm.Illustrated with twelve chromolithograph plates. Collated, complete.Part of Father Tuck's 'Pictureland' Series. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, generally smart, with light rubbing and marks to the wraps. A little light edge wear, including a very small amount of loss to the spine. Vertical fold to the text. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with a few scattered spots. Staples are rusted. Good.
