Eight issues (1-8: Spring 1987-Winter 1988); 8 1/4 in. x 10 3/4 in.; [1] 31 pp. [2] 40 pp. [3] 52 pp. [4] 60 pp. # 5 60 pp. # 6 60 pp. # 7 60 pp. # 8 60 pp.; illustrated with reproductions of black & white historical photographs of sites in the British Isles, and high quality color photos of current sites, David Winter Cottages, maps, etc. "An Introduction" is 20 pp., with color maps, color photos of Cottages, etc. Folded inserts are: Time to Renew Your Membership for 1989, information on the Collectors Guild (1989), ad for Black Bess Inn & 2 unused Letters of Redemption, for The Black Bess Inn-1811 + The Pavillion-1815 (these pieces have been folded from mailing, and show a little age-related tanning, light creasing). Issues & Introduction are in fine condition. In a specially constructed, sturdy publisher's slipcase/box, made in the form of a book with the spine gilt-lettered: COTTAGE COUNTRY VOL. I., the front cover opens out, but this box can be stored flat or upright in a bookcase. The front cover of this box shows a 5" scratch to the dark green, leather-textured cloth surface, a few other small marks, and light wear to the cover corners. The scan shows the spine & part of the front cover of the box. Scarce first 8 issues of this beautifully produced publication in the special storage box.
