Counter Terrorist

A first-person account of a man who quit his management job in his family's business, joined a U.N. peacekeeping mission in the Sinai, and began a five-year career fighting terrorism

At 45, Hall found that his life of excitement through Olympic sports, women, business success, and addiction to drugs and booze was not enough. Training with Israeli commandos introduced him to combat, and these thrills and risksmated with service to important causesgave him a sense of worth. Risking his life in Lebanon, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe was exhilarating, but his career ended with his 1986 capture in Nicaragua while spying for quasi-official U.S. agents. Either as a real-life adventure tale or as the story of the man behind an international incident, Hall's tale will appeal to readers. Mark K. Jones, Cincinnati, Ohio
