Sleep is surely an excellent thing, although we know remarkably little about its origins and purpose. All that we do know however is laid out for us here in this illuminating and entertaining study by Paul Martin. This is a particularly fine copy, and the cover too is in similar condition and still looks crisp and new. The binding is still perfect and all pages are clean and unmarked from beginning to end.

About the Author

I will begin by saying that mine is neither a conventional bookstore nor a conventional business. I have been a great reader and learner all my long life and have acquired a substantial number of books, which I began to sell off in a small way when I moved to a flat about ten years ago - and now that I am even older I am having to move once again in the next year or so, this time into an even smaller flat in a retirement community.
