Very Good to Good paperback with moderate edge wear along the spine, a crease to the back cover and a light crease to about 5 pages, and a previous owner's name and date to the first page. Photographs by Leonard McCombe; text by John Bryson. 80 pages; b&w photos throughout; 8.5 x 11 inches. A photo-documentary on cowboys on the JA Ranch in the Texas Panhandle, shot by McCombe, a long-time and well-respected Life magazine photographer. McCombe, who was 27 years old at the time, was an English photographer who first gained international prominence for his pictures of East German refugees at the end of World War II. Previously he had covered war assignments for the English pictorial magazine Picture Post, including the Normandy Campaign.
