The front panel has two small patches of light marking at the top where there is a little fraying to the top edge. The spine is darkened with some edge rubbing and there is a little darkening to the outer edges of the front and rear panels. Rubbing to the corners with some bumping to the bottom corners and a there are a few light surface marks on the rear panel. The tops of the pages are gilt edges. The other page edges are a little browned. Previous owner's name in ink to the top corner of the front free endpaper. Staining to the top corners of the front and rear pastedowns and some spotting to the rear free endpaper. Some spotting to the half-title page and light spotting in a few other places through the book. The pages are a little browned but are otherwise unmarked. Eight coloured plates. No jacket.
