Add to basketSmall 4to, soft cover, 10 1/8 x 8 in (260 x 203 mm), 224 leaves, including several telegrams, handwritten letters and notes, photographs, sample of cigar ashes, confetti and a button, a open envelope, copious police reports, a blank indictment and a final closing report and jury verdict which is contained within a closed red sheet (which has been opened) with a warning readers to only open when they have decided who the culprit is given the evidence. Bound in orange paper wrappers with brown ribbon and the front dust jacket and spine glued onto the wrappers. Pages and covers toned and a few page corners curled but overall in very good condition for a loose-page publication. "Crimefile" Series, published by William Morrow in the U.S. and Jarrold's Publishers in London, reproduced dossiers of crimes, daring the buyer to solve the crime using the evidence, as a police detective would. As stated on the cover: "This file contains the complete dossier of a crime, with every clue and item of evidence preserved in its, original, physical form, exactly as it might have been received at Police Headquarters. The crime was a murder. The police solved it. Can you?" Crimefile #2 is based on the discovery of a corpse, which then turns out to be Rufus Ray, famous divorce lawyer and hated my many. The dossier analyzes 7 possible culprits. Captain Andrews of the NYC Homicide Squad is the brilliant detective who solves the case. Can you?
