Reviews
Discretionary time today, for most of us, is so rationed that even thinking of a weekend-long, start-to-finish project can be daunting. Nonetheless, Theiss presents over 60 projects that, she claims, could be completed in two days. Most patterns, though, are geared to the experienced crocheter, judging from the levels of expertise indicated for each pattern. Theiss' choices are typical of quick-and-easy craft patterns. She includes such "easy" projects as napkin rings, potholders, afghans, stuffed toy animals, and a host of children's apparel. Directions are easy to follow and guided by at least one color photo; unfortunately, her insistence on using specific brands of yarn, without suggesting substitutes, may discourage some American stitchers.
