First edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's original ribbed dark brown cloth lettered in gilt on the upper board. Near Fine with light wear at extremities, soiling to boards and a hairline crack starting at the front joint. "God" written in pencil on the front pastedown; heavy foxing throughout. A scarce and early treatise on wine history, cultivation and making by Alden Spooner (1783-1848), a prominent printer in Brooklyn. Seller Inventory # 140946432
