Copyrighted 1941, with no statement of later printings, but judging from the list of titles on the last page and rear jacket flap, this copy dates from around 1958 ('Curious George Flies a Kite' is the most recent title on the list). The full red cloth hardcover binding is clean and holding tight with a touch of wear to the board corners. The interior and text are clean and unmarked with no signs of previous ownership. The dust jacket remains unclipped ($3.25) and is bright and attractive with some toning to the spine, small chips at the spine ends, spotting along one edge of the rear panel, and light wear to the corner folds; presents well under fresh archival mylar. NOT ex-lib. A nice early printing of this classic; clean and solid in attractive jacket. 56pp.
