First Edition quarter-bound in brown cloth over tweed-type beige cloth; frontispiece photo of George Custer in civilian dress; illustrations, 37 photos and 7 maps (listed); index; 303pp. Dowd #424. Swinford #32. O'Keefe 1015. Very Good+ (would be Near Fine except for some indentations on left side of cover). Very Good dust jacket with a couple edge tears and faded spine. Recommended by O'Keefe as one of the most important Little Big Horn books ever published - full of eyewitness accounts of battle participants taken from their interviews with researcher Walter Camp. A must for any student of the Little Big Horn.
