True 1st printing has gilt image of bugle stamped on navy cloth front cover. Later printings are light blue cloth and are mistakenly assumed to be first edition/first printings because there is no designation of a later printing on the copyright page - which was Devin/Adair's practice at the time. Anything in a light blue cloth is not the true first printing. Clean text. No marks. Binding is solid. The spine is sun-faded. There are what looks like small drops of orange paint on the outside back board. Some shelf wear. All four corners are showing minor wear.
