About this Item
Octavo. Blue cloth covered boards and spine with shiny gilt lettering on the spine. Light bumping at the head of the spine and a fair amount of bumping at the tail, both with light accompanying rubbing. Just enough rubbing to the book's corners to take the color off of their tips. Map endpapers with Little Big Horn. Binding is straight and tight. Single faint smudge on the outside edge of the textblock and a couple very light spots on the upper edge - pages inside are all clean, white, and crisp. 271 pages. Some illustrations by the author throughout. Dust Jacket - has a fair amount of rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and at the tips of the corners. 1/8" chip in the tips of each of the four outside corners. Light rubbing all along the outside edges of the spine and in some places around the oustide edges. 1/2" semiclosed tear in the upper edge of the front cover. Light evidence of handling over the white rear cover. Colors on the spine and front cover are still bright and clear. Upper corner of the front inside flap has been price clipped. Book has some flaws, as listed, but still has a very nice overall appearance. Rare in first edition. Seller Inventory # 004019
