Small 4to. Unpaginated. Pictorial boards printed in black, blue, red, white, with white and black lettering on the red spine, boards and spine with the same design as is on the dust jacket. Price of 1.00 on the front flap of the dust jacket. Illustrated with numerous full-page drawings printed in blue, yellow, and black. Illustration History, "E. Simms Campbell". E. Simms Campbell was a Black cartoonist born in St. Louis. In 1939, Campbell's series Cuties became syndicated in the United States. He was the first Black artist to achieve syndication. This volume collects Cuties comics done during American involvement in the Second World War. Light wear to the boards' edges; jacket with a few traces of edge wear and minor foxing on its rear flap.
