FIRST EDITION 1975, 4to, 250 x 220 mm, 9¾ x 8 inches, colour illustrated red and white shiny boards, no pagination. Brilliant vibrant coloured illustrations, with double page spreads thoughout, a verse from the traditional rhyme inset. Spine just very slightly faded, lettering bright, white areas on covers faintly browned, corners just very slightly bumped, neat ink name top of title page (Margery Fisher, well known reviewer and historian of children's books, author of many books on the subject).
