White paper dust jacket has tanned at edges, light edgewear with 3 small tears, text is without flaw, very clean and well bound, appears unread, 8.25 X 10.25" 157 pages, (1966) Hand bound by The Hermits of St. John the Baptist, Merville, B.C. A well written and fascinating history of Campbell River, B.C. Starting with the native population and a photograph of Chief Billy Assu taken in 1923, there is also a photo of a totem pole which stood on the Spit, and was bought in the early 1920's by the New York Museum. With chapters on industrial development and logging, tourism, some of the early settlers, buildings, and events up to the mid-1960s. Illustrated by vintage photographs including one of the bar at the Willows Hotel taken in 1914. The bar was made of one slab of clear-grained fir, 40 feet long, 3 inches thick and 18 inches wide.

CANADA - Order more than one book at a time from our collection you will save money on shipping costs. * The Canada Post Flat Rate shipping boxes hold up to 11 lbs or 5 Kgs. * It costs the same to ship two (or more) books as it does a single item, so Bundle Up Tracking number and Insurance up to C$100.00 are included. *Books under 500g (1lb) wrapped weight and measuring under 1" thick in wrapper, may be shipped by less expensive Letter Mail. Please inquire.
USA - Postage to the USA is calculated on a packaged weight of 1Kg. or under and includes Canada Post tracking and insurance against loss or damage. Delivery time is approximately 15 days depending largely upon Customs clearing times. * Based on the total packaged weight up to 1Kg. (2.2 lbs) a second book can be shipped free of charge or at a reduced rate. Please Note Books are considered Educational Material and are not subject to the Tariffs. *Priority Post including tracking and insurance, with a guarenteed delivery time of 10 days is available. * If you need more information, please inquire.
