FIRST EDITION 1820. 8vo, approximately 210 x 130 mm, 8 x 5 inches, engraved folding map with hand coloured routes plus 3 engraved plates, pages: xxii, [ii], 1-40, 1-182, [2] - Errata, bound in full polished calf, git lettered label to spine, gilt decoration to spine. Upper hinge beginning to crack but attached firmly to the cords, a few small marks to covers and slight shelf wear to corners and edges, offset from plates to facing pages, all other pages clean, small repair to blank side of map, 2 small closed tears to margins neatly repaired, foxing and pale browning to pastedowns and free endpapers, armorial bookplate to first pastedown and identical one to first free endpaper, (John Hopton of Can-Frome in the county of Hereford).
