Complete four volume, leather bound, first edition; illustrated, plates, engravings in the text; 528, 512, 512, 490 pages. The books are bound in half calf with marbled boards and endpapers; the front board of volume I is detached and one gather in t he final volume is partially detached; everything else is well bound together. There is some foxing to the plates and this has affected the adjacent pages, there is some light foxing in a few places in the texts which are otherwise clean.
