First Edition, First Printing. Original black cloth, the spine lettered faintly in pale green. Without the dust jacket, as usual. Good condition. Signs of wear commensurate with age, bumped corners, pushing to head and tail of the spine, spine separated from text block. One chip to the head of the spine affecting one letter of the title, two tiny tears to tail of the spine and a small split half way up the spine, near the front board. Marginal staining to half title page. Scattered foxing and stain marks to pages 60 & 61. First Editions of this book are extremely scarce, with a print run of only 1,500 copies. Comes with new facsimile dust jacket.
