First American edition of the first Dr.Tancred detective novel. Previous owner's name and address to ffep and darkening to front and rear gutters; top edge stain lightly faded. A VERY GOOD + book. Scarce jacket has some chipping to top edge of spine and a few small black marker touch-ups to the top edge of jacket and front edge folds; small tape repairs to verso of jacket.
