- Quarto, 9-1/4 inches high by 7 inches wide. Hardcover, bound in black cloth with a pictorial label illustrated by Wyeth on the front cover, titled in gilt on the spine. In a pictorial dust wrapper, not price-clipped, repeating the image on the front cover. The book's covers are slightly rubbed and there are minor chips to the top front corner of the dust jacket and the head of the jacket's spine. There is a tiny crease to the bottom corner of the color illustration mounted on the jacket. xii, & 409 pages, illustrated with pictorial endpapers, a pictorial title page and 14 color plates by N.C. Wyeth. A previous owner's bookplate is mounted on the front endpaper. A very attractive copy. First edition, first printing of the Wyeth illustrated edition, in the first state dust wrapper without "Smoky" in the list of publications on the rear panel. Seller Inventory # 97856
